Moving Through the Steps
Moving Through the Steps engages body, mind, and Spirit in the process of recovery. It applies the healing techniques of Movement Therapy to the principles of the Twelve Steps of Recovery. Participants are led through experiences designed to explore the emotional and psychological territory of each of the steps. The movement aspect of the experience connects participants to their bodies and emotions. Exercises in creative expression offer an invitation to take the exploration deeper. Getting out of the mind and into the senses provides participants with previously unexplored and unconscious personal material. Valuable insight is revealed. Responsibility is owned and new freedom is achieved. Well-informed and empowered, participants make healthier choices that support lives of purpose and well-being.
